Park intends to award an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity
(ID/IQ) contract with one base year and up to four (4) This contract
may also include other parks within approximately 150 miles of Mammoth
Cave National Park. The Park prefers a local A/E firm in order to
contain travel costs (nominally within 150-200 miles) but this
requirement is not exclusive. The work included in this contract
entails experience and expertise in the areas of engineering (civil,
electrical, mechanical, structural, etc.), architecture, and landscape
architecture. The types of facilities on which this work will be
performed, include, but are not limited too: historic and non-historic
structures, roads, trails, HVAC systems, electric systems (primary and
secondary), housing (permanent, seasonal, institutional), campgrounds,
picnic areas, canoe/boat launching/landing facilities, transportation
systems, fueling systems, and park landscapes. The work will be on the
surface and in the cave. The Architect/Engineer (A/E) will provide, but
is not limited too, the following products:  Complete planning
documents.  Product information.  Development plans.
 Complete and accurate drawings, technical specifications.
 Cost estimates.  Operation/ maintenance manuals. The
projects include those that are maintenance, repair, rehabilitation,
reconstruction, and new construction in nature for a wide variety of
park facilities and systems. As needed, the A/E will coordinate and/or
provide information to governing state and locate agencies The work
will be focused at, and coordinated through, Mammoth Cave National
Park. However, work may also be performed at other National Parks,
Historic Sites, Battlefields, Recreational Areas within the National
Park Service. Work under the contract will be accomplished via task
orders. The minimum about of work that will be accomplished per year is
$2,000. There is no maximum limit. The A/E is to provide
recommendations, however, the Government will make the final decisions
based upon the A/E's analysis of alternatives, recommendations, and
other considerations. Located within units of the National Park Service
are structures and sites that included on the National Register of
Historic Places. Consequently, all investigation, design, and
construction work associated with these properties must be undertaken
with extreme care to ensure that no substantial damage will result to
the structures or significantly alter the character of the site.
Physical investigation by destructive techniques must be approved by
the Government prior to work commencing. All preservation/restoration
design work shall conform to The Secretary of the Interior's Standards
for the Treatment of Historic Properties and 1993 Guiding Principles
of Sustainable Design Copies of the complete Statement of Work may be
