is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in
accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with
additional information included in this notice. This announcement
constitutes the only solicitation; Quotations are being requested and
a written solicitation will not be issued. All information required for
submission of an offer is included in this solicitation. We do not
issue receipts for offers. The Solicitation number is FA4416-99-T0269.
Offerors must comply with all instructions in FAR 52.212-1 with
submittal of their offer and provide all information. This solicitation
document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect
through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-10. The Standards Industrial
Classification Number is 5063 and the Business Size Standard is 100
employees. The proposed contract action here is a small business set
aside. All offers must be received by 4:00 PM Eastern Standard Time on
31 Mar 99. Delivery and finance addresses willbe provided upon award.
The following provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition. FAR
52.212-3, "Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial
items", FAR 52.212-4, "Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial
Items", FAR 52.228, "Insurance -- Work on a Government Installation".
Contract award will be based upon Price and Past Performance.
DESCRIPTION: Furnish all labor, equipment, tools, transportation,
materials, technical supervision, repair reports, and services
necessary to perform all operations in connection with the repair of
the (3) transformers outside building 1870 at Andrews Air Force Base,
MD 20762. At present two (2) 69,000 VOLTS, 25,000/41,667KVA
(Westinghouse) power transformers are severely leaking. A third
transformer (R.T.E./A.S.E.A.) is also leaking, however less severely.
It is highly recommended that interested contractors attend the site
visit which is scheduled at 9:00 AM Eastern Standard time on 25 Mar 99.
