The work also includes the removal of the existing cooling tower and the installation of a permanent as well as a temporary cooling tower in order to provide air conditioning to the building. This Invitation for Bids is being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is open to both large and small business participation. It is estimated between $100,000 and $250,000. The applicable SIC Code is 1711. The tentative date for receipt of bids is 3 May 1999. Bid packages will be available on or about 2 April 1999 at a non-refundable charge of $38. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
