COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF MARCH 19,1999 PSA#2306VA Connecticut Healthcare System, 40 Industry Dr., West Haven, CT
06516 65 -- DIALYZERS POC Michele Pompane, Contracting Officer, (203)
937-3079 The Department of Veterans Affairs Connecticut Healthcare
System is seeking possible sources for dialyzers. The dialyzers should
be made of a synthetic membrane such as polymethylmethacrylate or
polysulfone and should be hollow fiber construction. Gamma irradiation
is preferred over ethylene oxide as the mode of sterilization. The VA
would like the option to purchase multiple types of dialyzers. The
majority of dialyzers should, at a blood flow of 400 cc/min, provide
urea and B12 clearances of at least 300 and 150 cc/min respectively and
have UF coefficient > 10. The second type of dialyzer should, at a
blood flow rate of 400 cc/min, provide urea and B12 clearances of at
least 275 and 125 cc/min respectively. The dialyzers should have the
ability to be disposed of after each treatment and must be compatible
with use by the Cobe Century System 3 hemodialysis machines. Interested
parties who may be able to supply such dialyzers should submit their
capabilities in writing to the Contracting Officer named in this ad.
