The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with JOHN DEERE CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT COMPANY, 1515 5th Ave (61265), P.O. BOX 8806, Moline, Illinois 61266-8806; for the relife/remanufacture of the John Deere 644E Material Handler. Current requirements are for remanufacture of 125 tractors annually; current assets total 549. This remanufacture must meet or exceed Original Equipment Manufacture (OEM) specifications. Remanufacture must include disassembly, repair, overhaul, parts replacement and upgrades. Tractor components such as engines, transmissions axles must be disassembled, inspected and reassembled to meet or exceed Original Equipment Manufacture (OEM) specifications. Diesel engines must conform to current science and technology advancements and the most current EPA requirements. There is a requirement for the capability of re-manufacturing this equipment in Pacific Rim locations; Japan, Okinawa and Hawaii. Additionally, there is a requirement to provide, at a minimum, an eighteen (18) month unlimited warranty and to be capable of supporting this asset after remanufacture. See Numbered Note 22.
