Proposal (RFP) # 2-99-JC-23-36, A 100% SET ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS
CONCERNS; for the operation of the Iroquois Job Corps Center, located
in Medina, New York. The RFP will be available on the World Wide Web on
or about March 19, 1999 at http://www.wdsc.org/jobcorps/schedule.html.
It is anticipated that the resultant contract will cover the period
from October 1, 1999 through September 30, 2001 with three (3)
Governmental unilateral renewal options of one (1) year each. The
average capacity of the Iroquois Center is 255 Students (129
residential males, 8 non-residential males, 111 residential females, 7
non-residential). A pre-proposal conference will take place on Friday,
April 9, 1999, at 11:00 A.M. It will convene at the Iroquois Job Corps
Center, 11780 Tibbets Road, Medina, New York 14103-9725 (telephone
number 716-798-7028). To find the Center, take exit 48A of the New York
State Thruway. Upon leaving the Thruway, go North on Rt. 77. Proceed
approximately 5 miles. Continue onto Rt. 63 North for approximately 10
miles (prior to arrival, watch for a blinking traffic light followed
by a county sign, "Orleans". Approximately 1/4 mile later, at first
intersection, watch for Job Corps Center sign and turn right). Follow
signs. The conference will be held at the Activity Center, this is the
largest building on the Center, just beyond the Cafeteria. Upon
entering the facility, participants must precede directly to the
Activity Center to register. There will be a tour of the facility
immediately following the conference (DRESS COMFORTABLY). Interested
offerors must limit their attendance to no more than three (3)
individuals. The solicitation will be available for download, free of
charge via the World Wide Web, at the Job Corps Acquisition Web page
(http://www.wdsc.org/jobcorps/schedule.html) on or about March 19, 1999
-- Hard copies (paper sets) of the solicitation will be provided by the
Government upon written request. We recommend that interested parties
download the RFP prior to attendanceat the conference. The closing date
for receipt of proposals will be Tuesday, May 28, 1999, at 4:00 P.M.
(EST). THE SOLICITATION IS SET ASIDE 100% FOR SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS.
The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 8744. The Small
Business Standard is a concern including its affiliates having an
average amount of sales or receipts for the previous three fiscal years
not in excess of $20,000,000. Joint ventures & teaming agreements are
encouraged. The Pre-proposal Conference will provide networking
