The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has the need for construction of visitor facilities at Salamatof. The project consists of site work on nine lots/tract located at three sites in the Moose Range Meadows Subdivision in Soldotna, Alaska. The project construction is, in general, as follows: 1. Trail system that includes: Kiosks/Signing, 560 lineal feet of Gravel Path, 1,210 lineal feet of Elevated Pathway and 680 lineal feet of Removable Fishing Platforms; 2. Three (3) each vehicle packing lots complete with a prefabricated concrete vaulted toilet, culverts, land reclamation and landscaping; and 3. Construct a two story, 2,000 square foot, single family residence complete with water supply well, wastewater holding tank, fenced storage yard, landscaping and driveway access. The construction period is 540 calendar days and the cost range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The solicitation issue date will be around April 15, 1999.
