solicitation but a = market survey to determine the potential sources
to provide nine (9) MLS dual Control Display Units (CDUs) for C-29
flight inspection aircraft. The = dual CDU must include the ability to
select the computed mode of the = receiver. The Air Force anticipates
issuance of a contract for one lot, nine (9) = CDUs. Delivery
schedule: two (2) CDUs within six (6) months and the remaining units
within ten (10) months after award. Interested firms should = include
the company name; address; CAGE code; a point of contact, size of =
business (i.e. large business, small business, small disadvantaged
business, = 8(a) concern, or small women-owned business); and whether
they are a U.S. or foreign owned entity in their response. Submit
statement of = qualifications, along with supporting documentation to:

Responses must be received no later than 30 calendar days after the
date of this publication and should not exceed = ten (10) pages on 8
=BD x 11 inch paper with type no smaller than 10 pitch. = An Ombudsman
has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or = potential
offerors during the proposal and proposal development phase of this
acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the =
authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to
communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and
recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When
requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the
source of the concern. = Ombudsman do not participate in the evaluation
of responses, source selection, or formulation of acquisition strategy.
=20 Interested parties are invited to call the Electronic Systems
Center's Ombudsman, Col Steven Sheldon, ESC/CX,(781) 377-5106. The
Ombudsman = should be contacted only with issues or problems that have
previously been = brought to the attention of the program manager
and/or contracting officer and = could not be satisfactorily resolved
at that level. Interested persons may identify their interest and
capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This
notice of intent is not a request for = competitive proposals. However,
all responses to this notice received within 30 = days after release of
the notice will be considered by the Government. This synopsis does not
constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), nor should = it be construed
