The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, Office of Applied Studies is soliciting proposals from qualified organizations to award a three-year contract with two one-year options to provide sophisticated analytic and other support which will increase both the analysis and dissemination of findings from major OAS activities (such as the national Household Survey on Drug Abuse and the Drug Abuse Early Warning system) as well as to ensure that information and related data files are used as widely as possible. The successful offeror must be knowledgeable, and have extensive experience and a track record of accomplishments in providing statistical programming for analytic support; statistical consultation; data file creation and documentation; creation of a data library; editorial, graphic, audio-visual and logistics support. It is anticipated that a thirty six (36) month contract with two twelve (12) month options, cost-reimbursement, completion type contract will be awarded as a result of this solicitation. Request for Proposal (RFP) 283-99-9018 is scheduled for issuance on March 31, 1999 and responses are due on May 12, 1999. This solicitation may be obtained in either of two ways; by mail or by electronically downloading a file from the SAMHSA Web Site at http://www.samhsa.gov. Files will not be made available on the Web site until on or after the estimated issuance date. Once downloaded, you should determine if you have a continuing interest in the RFP. If so, you must either write the contract specialist identified above that you wish to have copies of amendments to the RFP (if any) sent to you by mail or check the SAMHSA Web Site regularly for any amendments to the RFP which will also be posted there and can be electronically downloaded. Note, however, that if you rely on the Web Site for obtaining amendments, we have no way to assure, and will therefore assume no responsibility for assuring, that you have downloaded these amendments. Requests for copies of the RFP to be mailed must be made in writing or by facsimile (301) 443-0019 and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis until the supply is exhausted.
