R -- SUPPORT A MODEL DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM FOR DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING OF HHSA COMMUNITY OUTREACH INTERNS SOL HRSA-99-BPHC-0022 DUE 040599 POC Aileen Broider-301-443-5231 The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) intends to negotiate on a SOLE SOURCE basis with the Public Benefit Corporation, District of Columbia Health and Hospitals, 1900 Massachusetts Avenue, SE, Washington, DC 20003. This procurement shall be processed in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures in Part 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations. The purpose of this procurement is to support "A Model Demonstration Program for the Development and Training of Health and Human Services Academy (HHSA) Student Community Outreach Interns." The contractor shall: submit a plan detailing the proposed program design, activities and schedule; identify hospital, medical and professional staff participating in the project; outline the proposed involvement of HHSA faculty, staff and community partners as advisors, experts, presenters, mentors, etc.; identify student progress, strengths and weaknesses observed in the students' academic preparation and assignment match in developing paraprofessional outreach positions; and prepare a draft and final report and a briefing on the project. The Public Benefit Corporation, District of Columbia Health and Hospitals is deemed the only responsible source capable of providing the required work and services.
