the National Center for Cool and Cold Water Aquaculture located in
Leetown (near Kearneysville), Jefferson County, West Virginia. Project
consists of a 30,000 sf lab/office bldg. with attached 23,000 sf
tank/aquaria building for raising various species of fish for
experimentation. Specialty structures include a water treatment system
for rearing fish, including ozone treatment, activated carbon
treatment, degassing, and a UV filtration system. The estimated cost
range for this project is over $10 million. The design is in metric.
Completion time is 365 days. A Pre-Bid Conference will be announced in
the solicitation. Sets of plans and specifications will be available
for a non-refundable fee of $175, payable by check or certified money
order made out to: USDA, Agricultural Research Service, and must be
submitted along with request to: RMF Engineering, Inc., 190 West Ostend
Street, Baltimore, MD 21230. No telephone requests for the solicitation
package will be accepted. The solicitation is scheduled to be issued
on/about April 12, 1999, and the bids opened on/about May 20, 1999. All
reasonable sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the
Agency. MINORITY BUSINESS CONTRACTORS ARE ASKED TO ATTEND THE PRE-BID
CONFERENCE AND PROVIDE COPIES OF THEIR BUSINESS RESUMES TO POTENTIAL
