(202-482-1512) The NC3A intends to procure QPSK Modems for SATCOM
Digital Through Connectivity. NATO has a requirement to replace its 25
year old QPSK modems by COTS IBS/IDR modems. The modems shall be
delivered to NATO SATCOM Ground Terminals (SGTS) located in the member
countries. Current requirement is the procurement of an additional 134
modems which shall be form, fit and function compatible with wxisting
SLM 8650 modems, which are already a part of the NATO inventory. Modems
shall be delivered to the SGTs in 19 inch racks in accordance with eht
distribution list shown at the enclosure. This list may be revised
before Contract Award. The rack shall be pre-wired steel enclosure
housing the equipment necessary to produce a 2:8 redundacy system of
modems with rates up to and including 9,312 Mb/s. Each channel shall be
fitted with Engineering Service Channel (ESC) capability. All
applicants must be certified to compete in NATO ICB by the U.S.
Department of Commerce, Office of Telecommunications. Submit all
