The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development(HUD) has a requirement for Real Estate Property Sales Closing services for single family properties (1-4 units) owned by HUD. The geographic area covered by this solicitation is the entire state of North Carolina. The primary objectives of the proposed contract are to ensure that: 1. The sale of all properties assigned to the contract close within the time stipulated by the sales contract. 2. Prompt and accurate payment of all closing charges are made. 3. The net proceeds of each sale are deposited to a non-interest bearing escrow account and request is initiated for the wire transfer of the proceeds via Fedwire to HUD's account with the U.S. Treasury on the day of closing or no later than the next banking day. 4. The complete closing package is submitted to HUD within two working days of closing. The state of North Carolina is divided into two geographic areas. Area I is the Western half of the State and Area II is the Eastern half of the State. Thecounties for each area will be listed in the solicitation. HUD anticipates awarding one or two contracts. These contracts will be for one base year with four option years. Potential offerors may submit proposals for one or both geographic areas. All responsible sources may submit a proposal. HUD anticipates mailing the solicitation on April 15, 1999. Solicitations will be available for downloading from the HUD Web Page on April 15, 1999, as well. The date for receipt of proposals is May 18, 1999 no later than 3:00pm.
