County, Washington. This project consists of 5.1 miles of aggregate
base, paving, and slope stabilization. It also involves construction of
a viewpoint parking area. Project includes: Construction survey &
staking; construction schedules; contractor sampling & testing;
temporary traffic control; 950 ln ft silt fence; 42,000 tons untreated
aggregate courses; 15,000 tons hot asphalt concrete pavement; 1,000 ln
ft underdrains; 2,600 ln ft riprap lined ditch; 5,400 ln ft guardrail;
9,500 cu yd Class 5 riprap; 300 ln ft concrete curb; 430 sq yd
concrete sidewalk; 197 ln ft 28-inch high stone masonry wall; 145 ln ft
18-inch high stone masonry wall; 11 ea stone masonry pillars; 1 kiosk;
100 hrs flagger; 367 sq ft permanent traffic signs; 182 ea
delineators; 94,100 ln ft permanent pavement markings; 80 slurry units
seeding & mulching; removal of 1 timber bridge; 3,000 sq yd roadway
obliteration; and other smaller items of work. This project is located
approximately 55 miles east of Woodland, Washington. Work shall be
completed by October 1, 1999. Estimated price range is between
$1,000,000 and $2,500,000. Presolicitation Notices are being provided
to firms on this agency's mailing list concurrently with the

Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs): The
Department of Transportation (DOT), offers working capital financing
and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. DOT's
Bonding Assistance Program (BAP) offers bid, performance and payment
bonds on contracts up to $1,000,000. DOT's Short-Term Lending Program
(STLP) offers lines of credit to finance accounts receivable. Maximum
