SIC Code 1542 Construction of the proposed Piegan Border Station, in
the vicinity of U.S. Highway 89 and the United States/Canada land
border near Babb, Montana. The proposed border station facility will be
constructed on approximately 6 hectares and contain approximately 2,210
GSM including a Main Inspection Building approximately 1300 GSM, a
Secondary Inspection Building (with two pull through bays)
approximately 255 GSM, A seven bay Agency Vehicle Garage Building
approximately 240 GSM and a combined GSA maintenance shop/garage/two
lane firing range approximately 415 GSM. In addition, there will be
concrete/asphalt paving for two primary inspection lanes and one
oversize inspection lane with associated inspection booths, a 10
vehicle impound lot, an oversize vehicle lot for five vehicles and
parking areas for 26 visitors and employees. Site development also
includes a three mile water transmission and treatment facility, sewer
(septic/drain field), gas and electricity service as well as grading,
sidewalks and landscaping. Estimated construction cost is between $5
Million and $10 Million. This procurement is full and open competition
and will be issued as a sealed low bid with bid opening on April 22,
1999 at 2:00 p.m. local time. All responsible sources may submit a bid
