contracting for the purchase and shipment/delivery of motor vehicles to
Namibia. A single firm-fixed price contract for commercial items is
anticipated. The Contractor shall provide/deliver to Namibia fifteen
(15) of the manufacturers' latest models, completely new, unused, and
not reconditioned utility vehicles with all standard features and
accessories, except where superseded by the following minimum
requirements: GENERAL: Four wheel drive; Four Passenger Doors; Right
hand drive; Color -- white with no labels/signs/names; Five-seater
configuration w/seatbelts for each passenger; Bolted on license plates;
Two sets of keys w/alarm remote controls; Left and right external
mirrors; Locking fuel filler cap; Underbody protection plates for fuel
tank, engine and gear box; 160 liter fuel tank; Front and Rear bush
bars; Operator and service manual. INSTRUMENTATION: Metric meter
readings (Kph). ELECTRICAL ITEMS: Heavy duty maintenance free battery;
Heavy duty alternator; Heavy duty 12 volt system; Electronic
anti-theft system. POWER TRAIN AND RELATED ITEMS: 5 speed manual
transmission; Power assisted steering; Power brakes; 2400 cm ohc or
greater horsepower; Gear Lock; Petrol compatible; Hydraulic clutch.
SUSPENSION AND TIRES: Heavy duty off road package suspension and
shocks; P235/75R15 all terrain, steel belted radial tires; full size
locking spare tire with wheel; jack and lug wrench. COOLING SYSTEM:
Heavy duty cooling system; Air conditioning. Quotes must be submitted
for the entire quantity to be considered. The vehicles are to be
delivered F.O.B. Destination, Within Consignee's Premises, by April 30,
1999. Offerors must provide evidence of spare parts and service
availability in Namibia for their offer to be considered responsive.
Offerors will be required to indicate in their offer the
supplier/manufacturer's authorized service representative in Namibia
who will handle warranty, predelivery, and/or after sales services.
This procurement is unrestricted. The Standard Industrial
Classification (SIC) code for this procurement is 3799. Per FAR 19.11,
Price Evaluation Adjustment for Small Disadvantaged Business Concerns,
offerors are advised that a 10% price evaluation adjustment for small
disadvantaged business concerns will be applied in evaluation of bids
