to issue a purchase order on a sole-source basis to Finnigan
Corporation, d/b/a Finnigan MAT, San Jose, California, for laboratory
items. The laboratory items must be compatible with existing U.S.
Customs equipment. The laboratory items will be aquired sole-source as
authorized under FAR 6.302-1, Only One Reasonable Source, 41 USC
253(c)(1). One each of the following items will be requested: (1)
AUS-501-T, TCD Detector; (2) AUS-502-T, FID Detector; (3) AUS-402-T,
Base body with EPC Electronic Control for ECD, PID, FPD, FID without
make-up; (4) HK-SPCL, ATLAS OPTIC 2-300. ATAS will be responsible for
installation, training and one year warranty; (5) 350-010-50
split/splitless septum nut; (6) AUS-SPL-VALCO six port gas sampling
valve with micro-electric actuator; (7) AUS-SP-122, additional PC work
station items: Sound card, additional 64Mb RAM (total 128 MB RAM), and
external Jazz drive; (8) 525, HP Laser Jet 5 printer with 2 MB memory,
(9) 572, Self contained, state of the art Granville-Phillips ion gauge
with intergrated output for data system display and recording of
operational pressures; (10) 658, National Institute of Standards and
Technology (NIST) mass spectral library (latest release) for GCQ system
on CD-ROM. (Requires Single Copy/Single CPU Software Licence Agreement)
(11) GCQ, Operation Training Course. Training for correct operating
procedures and optimum system performance, Ion trap MS and MS/MS
theory, instrument tuning and data acquisition. Course for one person,
tuition only, to be held at the TMQ institute. A training course
voucher will be issued by TMQ Institute for each course purchased. A
class date must be scheduled by the voucher holder within six months of
instrument shipping date (4.5 days); (12) 998, On-site field support
provided by ThermoQuest applications chemists (2 day minimum plus price
for each additional day). Equipment will be delivered 90 days ARO, FOB
destination inside consignees premises. Delivery will be made to U.S.
Customs Laboratory, Room 326, 423 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70130.
Written responses should provide prices and technical data sufficient
to determine capability. All responsible sources may submit an offer
