The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to issue on a sole-source basis under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures an order with Public Affairs Technology of Miami, Florida for prPowerBase Complete (10 user client server), prPowerBase Perfect Pitch Media Database (10 user, 1 year), and a full day of on-site installation and training for these products. To the Government's knowledge, Public Affairs Technology is the only known source that can provide the required items/service, as the software products are proprietary thereto and not available through dealers or other third parties. This notice is neither a request for quotations nor an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response hereto shall not be honored or acknowledged. Any responsible firm that feels it has the capability to provide SSA with the required software, installation, and training may write to the referenced contracting officer. All responses must be received by April 1, 1999. Respondents should refer to PRBASE99-JCE. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. If no affirmative written responses are received by the due date indicating that a comparable source exists, an order will be placed with Public Affairs Technology for the requirements stated above.
