Michael Dodd, Contracting Officer, (703)602-8000 The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue orders on multiple occasions over the period, 36 months, of Basic Ordering Agreement N00024-99-G-5218 with ELECTROMECHANICAL SYSTEMS (EMS) INC., 6200 118th Avenue N., Largo, Florida 34643. Orders will be issued for services for installation support, checkout, testing field repairs, failure analysis, inspection of drawings, review and examination of field changes and modifications to the AN/SPS-49(V) radar pedestal (AB-1299/SPS-49(V)), its components or associated support equipment. Such work shall also include installation and support of Field Change Kits or other modifications as required. Orders will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1). EMS is the original AN/SPS-49 radar pedestal manufacturer. It is the only company that has the knowledge, experience, tooling and equipment to perform the tasks described. No other source has the technical qualifications and the necessary resources to perform the work described herein, nor will any other supplies or services satisfy the Navy's requirements.
