Michael Dodd, Contracting Officer, (703)602-8000 The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue orders on multiple occasions over the period, 36 months, of Basic Ordering Agreement N00024-99-G-5218 with ELECTROMECHANICAL SYSTEMS (EMS) INC., 6200 118th Avenue N., Largo, Florida 34643. Orders will be issued for repair part sets and individual parts, including replenishment of repair part sets in support of restoration and maintenance of the Government depot storeroom under the AN/SPS-49(V) radar pedestal (AB-1299/SPS-49(V)) program. Orders will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1). EMS is the original AN/SPS-49 radar pedestal manufacturer. It is the only company that has the knowledge, experience, tooling and equipment to perform the tasks described. No other source has the technical qualifications and the necessary resources to perform the work described herein, nor will any other supplies or services satisfy the Navy's requirements.
