CURBELO (787) 273-3318 The Department of the Army has a requirement for a firm fixed price type contract for shuttle bus service at Fort Buchanan, PR. Anticipated period of performance is 1 April 1999 to 1 August 1999. With possible 1 month interval extension until Dec 1999. Pricing shall be based on the following: The contractor shall provide the required services twice a day from point of pick up at hotels in the San Juan area to the Front Gate of Fort Buchanan. Services will consist of one air-conditioned fifty passengers bus and driver. The shuttle bus driver must possess the necessary experience, licensing and training to perform the contract. The bus will comply with all Commonwealth requirements governing passenger bus operation. The operator will be properly insured. The contractor will be responsible for enforcing Command ridership policies; included but not limited to rider elegibility. The Army anticipates the issuance of a Request for proposal by 25 March 1999. Closing date for responses will be seven days after issuance of the solicitation.
