Y -- FOUNDATIONS FOR SUMMIT SUBSTATION, STAGE 10 AND TYNDALL SUBSTATION, STAGE 06, SD SOL DE-FB65-99WC50636 DUE 050699 POC James E Dickey, Contracting Officer, (605)353-9215 The Western Area Power Administration has a requirement for a contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to remove 110 feet of existing chain link fence, remove 16 existing reinforced concrete auger type foundations, construct yard extension, provide 160 feet of chain link fence, construct two reinforced concrete slab type foundations and 12 augered foundations, and provide 201 feet of reinforced precast concrete cable trench with aluminum covers at the Summit Substation. Also, remove approximately 20 feet of existing chain link fence, remove six reinforced concrete auger type foundations and six pad and stem type foundations, provide 20 foot chain link fence gate, construct nine reinforced concrete auger type foundations and one slab type foundation, construct access road, and provide 10 feet of reinforced concrete precast cable trench with aluminum covers at the Tyndall Substation. The work is located in the counties of Roberts and Bon Homme, in South Dakota. The standard industrial classification code for this project is 1771. This solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis. All responsible business concerns may submit a bid which shall be considered by this Agency. Estimated construction magnitude is between $100,000 and $250,000. This solicitation will be issued on or about April 6, 1999. The projected bid opening date is on or about May 6, 1999.
