The project is to create an environment for geriatric impatient/outpatient elderly veterans. Work to include but not limited to: (A) A secured outdoor exercise park approx. 7,500 sq. ft. for geriatric patients to do physical therapy, recreation activity and interaction with the environment. This involved with landscaping, walkways, lighting, security systems, therapeutic equipment and access into Building #217. (B) A new courtyard approx. 2,500 sq. ft. with glazed metal roof and provide heating, ventilating & air-conditioning (HVAC) system, in that space for recreation activities, throughout the year. This should be located in the north-west area of Unit B, Building 217. (C) Remodel the existing main entrance of Building #217 to provide protected entrances/egress, a larger lobby, improved reception function and enhanced building security. (D) Cover two existing triangular open court yards, with a glazed metal roof to provide finished first floor available for patient access and care. The second floor occupants should be able to see the lower level activities. Provide all necessary utilities and HVAC systems. (E) Remodel approx. 6,500 sq. ft. first floor, into a clinic and rehabilitation center for geriatric impatients/outpatients. Completion time is 450 calendar days from the notice to proceed.
