Potential Sources Sought to Provide/Install Disinfectant System for Safe Drinking Water.The purpose of this announcement is to locate potential sources for replacement of two one-ton gas chlorination systems with two 140 pound-per-day, on-site sodium hypochlorite generation systems at Beale Air Force Base, California. The contractor will be required to furnish all labor, plant, material, and equipment necessary to perform the work. The automated, on-site sodium hypochlorite generation systems provided and installed must utilize salt, water, and energy as its raw materials in order to generate 0.8% sodium hypochlorite (8200ppm plus or minus 200ppm). The contractor must reestablish full water supply system and waste water treatment operations within eight hours of water system shut-down following current potable water practices. The contractor must be able to provide a factory trained and certified technician with 24 hours of any service request with a minimum field service capacity as follows: telephone support, 24 hours per day toll free message center with a response time of 60 minutes; on-site support, 365 days per year with 24-hour notice with a response time of 24-hours; parts support 365 day per year with a response time of 24-hours (overnight delivery). Contractor must provide manufacturer's specifications, manuals, and single line as-built drawings and parts and labor warranty at the end of installation. Interested sources must demonstrate that they have: knowledge of automated on-site sodium hypochlorite generation systems; have designed, manufactured and installed automated on-site systems of equal or greater generating capacity requirement, and must have a proven automated system which generates 0.8% sodium hypochlorite (8200pppm plus or minus 200ppm).
