E-MAIL: Diane Jester, Diana.W.Jester.1@gsfc.nasa.gov. NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for 1 each of a Radar Transmitter. The transmitter shall be capable of emitting radio frequency signals in the range from 2700MHz to 2900MHz. Also, the Government will integrate the transmitter into a radar system that will be utilized for meteorological research. For transportability, the radar system will be installed in ISO seatainers which measure 8'X 8' X 20' (2.4m X 2.4m X 6.1m). This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR PART 12. The DPAS Rating for this procurment is DO C9. The anticipated release date of RFQ 972-17034 is on or about 04/07/99 with an anticipated quote due date of on or about 04/19/99. All qualified responsible sources may request a copy of the RFQ which shall contain the specifications and Statement of Work.
