59 -- ARC FAULT DETECTOR SYSTEM WIDE BAND PHOTOSENSORS SOL N00167-99-R-0034 DUE 043099 POC Scott Sentz, Contract Negotiator, Code 3324, (301) 227-5822/Contracting Officer, Renee Cairo-Iocco The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Philadelphia Site, intends to procure a total of 1,116 each, arc fault detector system wide band photosensors. These photosensors detect visual and ultraviolet light generated from an electrical arc. These items will be fabricated/manufactured in accordance with drawings and specifications, which will be included within the solicitation package. These items may be subject to first article testing (contractor testing, 1 each) and shall be subject to production lot testing, (contractor testing, 6% of each lot) in the area of shock, vibration and humidity testing, in accordance with the specification. MIL-1-45208a is a requirement of this solicitation, therefore, all offerors will be required to certify that they meet this requirement prior to award. A pre-award survey may be performed at the contractor's facility prior to award selection. Award will be made to the responsible/responsive, technically acceptable low cost offeror. This requirement is advertised as unrestricted. All potential offerors submitting requests for this solicitation shall indicate their current size status; Small Disadvantaged Business 8(a), Small Business, Large Business, Women-Owned Business and/or Historically Black College or University/Minority Institution (HBU/MI).
