This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items or services prepared in accordance with format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued for Request for Quotation (RFQ No. NIA-99-JCC016). The solicitation clause and provisions are thos in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-06. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this acquisition is 3826. NIH/NIA Gerontology Research Center intends to purchase one(1) Capillary Electrophoresis System which must include, at a minimum, the following features: 48-position carousel, maximum 30kv constant voltage, capillary cartridge range 10-65 degree C, minimum 360 OD capillary columns with minimum 24cm length, temperature range of 10-40 degree C. Unit must be complete with computer system with Windows application, printer and software. In addition, the system must include a fluorescence detector with test kit. The following factors will be used to evaluate offers in descending order of importance: 1) technical capability, 2) price, 3) past performance.
