NASA is seeking innovative offerors for a food service concession agreement under which the selected offeror will manage, operate, and maintain the food service concession agreement. Offerors are encouraged to propose innovations, improvements and enhancements to the managment, development, operations, organization and staffing aspects of the food service concession agreement. The concession agreement shall provide convenient, quality food service to the employees at KSC at a reasonable cost. The current workforce at KSC is approximately 14,000 employees. Existing food service units include seven cafeterias and two mobile food service units. Prospective offerors are urged to carefully evaluate and appropriately judge their ability to deliver the performance required by NASA. NASA will provide certain property and services, but otherwise, this agreement is intended to be self-supporting. The period of performance shall be from April 1, 2000 through March 31, 2003. This agreement may be extended for two three year option periods at the discretion of the Government.
