Synopsis THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. NASA/Goddard
Space Flight Center is conducting market research to determine the
availability of SBA Certified 8(a) Firms to potentially provide support
to NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center. The requirement consists of
visitor center operation and program management, as summarized in the
Statement of Work/Objective, available at
http://genesis.gsfc.nasa.gov/procure.htm The NASA/Goddard Space Flight
Center (GSFC) visitor center is located in Greenbelt, MD, and the
Wallops Flight Facility (WFF) Visitor Center is located in Wallops,
Virginia. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 8412.
This synopsis is for information and planning purposes and is not to be
construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay
for information solicited. Respondents will not be notified of the
results of the evaluation. Respondents deemed fully qualified will be
considered if this synopsis results in a solicitation. The Government
reserves the right to consider only 8(a) certified firms. Any

considered a commercial or commercial-type product. A commercial item
is defined in Internet "Note A". All firms interested in this potential
8(a) setaside shall submit its capability statement information to
Hasani Martin, NASA/GSFC, code 211, bldg. 8, room 511 by April 7, 1999.
Information pertaining to your firms capability should include
corporate goals and objectives, corporate financial data, past
performance information (a minimum of 3 reference names, phone numbers,
the type of work performed), and any additional information which
demonstrates its ability to meet this requirement. In addition
responses must include the following: name and address of firm, size of
business; average annual revenue for past 3 years and number of
employees; ownership; whether they are large, small, small
disadvantaged 8 (a), and or woman owned; number of years in business;
affiliate information: parent company, joint venture partners,
potential teaming partners, prime contractor (if potential sub) or
subcontractors (if potential prime); list of customers covering the
past five years (highlight relevant work performed, contract numbers,
contract type, dollar value of each procurement; and point of contact
-- address and phone number). Technical questions should be directed

8a firms to provide a formal presentation to NASA officials, at a later
date. This is not a request for a Bid/Proposal/Offer. The information
provided will be used for market research, only. Information submitted
separately and apart from commercial brochures will be treated as
proprietary, if so marked. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not
request a copy of the solicitation. If a solicitation is released, it
will be synopsized in the CBD and on the NASA Acquisition Internet
Service. It is the potential offerors responsibility to monitor these
sites for the release of any solicitation or synopsis. This synopsis is
for information and planning purposes and is not to be construed as a

setaside are also invited to participate in a informational briefing
for this requirement. The briefing will give interested firms the
ability to ask questions. The informational briefing will take place
from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., on April 2, 1999 at the Goddard Space
Flight Center, Building 3, Auditorium. All companies interested in
attending this conference must E-mail Hasani Martin at
hmartin@pop200.gsfc.nasa.gov, by March 31, 1999. Please give the name
of your company, names and phone numbers for officers who will attend
the conference, a general description about your firms area(s) of
specialization/expertise, and any questions/topics your firm would like
NASA to answer or address in the briefing. For directions, take the
beltway (I-495) to the Baltimore Washington Parkway (295). Take
Greenbelt Road (east-driving away from D.C.) to the main entrance of
Goddard, which is on the left (K-Mart is on the right). All firms who
attend the pre-proposal conference/site visit shall park directly
outside the Goddard main gatehouse in the reserved visitor parking lot
(make the first right into the parking lot prior to the main
gatehouse). Enter the gatehouse, and obtain a visitor pass prior to
