DESCRIPTION OF WORK The work includes the furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment required to provide two new Medical/Dental Clinic Buildings and Ambulance Shelters. Each building is approximately 1,146 square meters. Each building is of non-combustible construction; concrete, concrete masonry, and steel framing. Roofing is standing seam metal roofing and modified bitumen built-up type, the project includes medical/dental casework, x-ray and audiometric rooms, carpeting, resilient flooring, tile flooring, medical and dental equipment, lockers, and toilet and shower facilities. Other major work includes utility improvements, associated civil, sitework, irrigation, landscaping, plumbing, heating, ventilating and air conditioning, electrical work, fire alarm system, wet-pipe fire sprinkler system, and incidental related work as indicated on the drawings and specifications. This is a public bid opening. -- The estimated cost is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. -- Firm Fixed Price Contract. -- Contract duration is approximately 548 calendar days. -- Proposals will be considered from all responsible sources. -- This project is unrestricted. -- The Standard Industrial Code is 1542 and the annual size is $17 million. It is recommended that subcontracting goals reflect a minimum goal of 40% for Small Business, 25% for Small Disadvantaged Business and 8% for Woman Owned Small Businesses Subcontracting effort.
