The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is seeking bids to replace a forty year old, 44 foot long, log stringler, single lane bridge located on the Izembek National Wildlife Refuge in Cold Bay, Alaska. Bridge #1: Remove and replace a forty year old, 44 foot long, log stringer single lane bridge. The new bridge shall have a corrugated galvanized steel deck with gravel surfacing, galvanized steel stringers and concrete abutments. The bridge shall be equipped with rails, and the ends of the bridge protected with approach rails. The contractor shall include all engineering and design for the bridge replacement, permitting, demolition of existing bridge, procurement of new bridge components, and installation on site. The contractor shall make miscellaneous repairs to two other bridges on the refuge. Performance period is May 1999 through November 1999. Cost estimate is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00.
