ESTIMATED ISSUE DATE: 26 APRIL 1999. ESTIMATED COST RANGE: Between
$500,000 and $1,000,000.00. Project AJXF 98-1574 consists of providing
all plant, labor, equipment, and materials and performing all
operations necessary to Modify Building 1791 to allow for installation
of a new paint booth and dust control system. The work includes but is
not limited to: Architectural and structural improvement to Building
1791 for aesthetic enhancement on Arnold Street, to correspond with
removal of existing roof over paint shop and installation of new
standing seam metal roof. General contractor will also provide and
install in complete working order, paint booth and all accessories and
dust control system. Environmental services required for removal of
existing hazardous materials at Building 1791 as may be encountered.
Mechanical services to provide demolition of the existing paint spray
booths and associated HVAC and piping located at Building 1791. Perform
new work services in the paint spray booth, drying room,and cleaning
room at Building 1791. Services include HVAC ductwork and systems,
steam, condensation, natural gas, compressed air, and fire protection
services. Preparation for installation of new paint spray booth and
dust collection system. Electrical support devices and services to
support the work upgrade, including normal power service and emergency
electrical power generation, along with all power requirements for
paint booth, exhaust system and make up air and dust collection system.
Total contract performance period is 270 calendar days. The proposed
procurement is being issued as an unrestricted acquisition. Award will
be made to the offeror who the Government determines can best
accomplish the necessary work to satisfy the requirements set forth in
the RFP in a manner most advantageous to the Government. The
Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the low
offeror. Offer guarantee required. For information purposes, the
applicable Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) is 1541.

accepted by facsimile or written. It will be the responsibility of the
contractor to download a copy of the solicitation from the web site
listed above. Technical questions regarding the solicitation must be

to closing, to ensure proper and timely responses. Please ensure that
your firm is registered with the Central Contractor Registration
(CCR)http://www.ccr.edi.disa.mil/. If your firm is not registered you
will not be able to download the solicitation. This notice does not
obligate the Government to award a contract, it does not restrict the
Government in its ultimate acquisition approach, nor does it obligate
