The NRC intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, a modification with Wang Government Services, Inc. under contract NRC-10-93-133, to provide continued Y2K compliancy of the NRC Operations Center Information Management System (OCIMS). The NRC OCIMS is one of the Agency's mission critical systems. The OCIMS is an integrated information system. It is the primary means of creating, storing, sending, displaying, and retrieving information in the Operations Center. OCIMS consists of a voice subsystem, a data subsystem, a video display subsystem, and the Headquarters Operations Officer database LAN. The data subsystem and video display subsystem are tightly integrated to support a complex system of interfaces and control systems. The modification also provides for continued maintenance, enhancement of OCIMS and associated technical support. It is essential that the incumbent provide the required equipment and services as Wang Government Services, Inc. has engineered, furnished, integrated, installed, tested, cutover, and made operational the system and subsystems for the Operations Center.
