This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commerical items in accordance with FAR Part 12.6 for two events. A written solicitation will not be issued. The Assitant Secretary of the Navy's (ASN/RDA) Acquistion Reform Office is seeking sources to provide total turnkey services for a live broadcast from the Crystal City Marriott on 060799 and viewed nationwide. The conference being broadcast will have several presentations throughout the three hours. In addition, sources are sought for total turnkey services for a two-hour live broadcast to be aired 061099 from the Washington Navy Yard and viewed nationwide. The broadcast, a town hall meeting, will have a small panel of dignitaries and an in-studio audience. Viewers of both events must be able to downlink the broadcast as well as view it over the Web and patch in remote video teleconference (VTC). Offerors must be able to provide the set, lighting, cameras, closed captioning, video streaming, satelite access, video recorders, amplifiers, microphones,soundboard, broadcast truck, crew and all other technical services required for a total solution provider. Offers must include a rehearsal the day before each event. Pieces (not to exceed 5 minutes) of video from the first event must be extracted and edited for viewing during the second event. Distribution to Pentagon TV, Government Educational TV, Navy Live Cable Television Network is requisite. A quantity of up to 1000 duplications of the video should be included in the offer .
