Woods, 301-443-0043 The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, Office of Applied Studies is soliciting proposals from qualified organizations to award a three-year contract with two one-year options to provide storage, maintenance and public access to more than 50 web-based public use data files. Principal among the public use files to be made available is the National Household Survey on Drug Abuse. The successful contractor must provide both download capability and an on-line data analysis system which is transparent to the user. Intended users of this system range from university based researchers to policy makers at the Federal, state and local levels. It is anticipated that a thirty six (36) month contract with two twelve (12) month options, cost-reimbursement, completion type contract will be awarded as a result of this solicitation. Request for Proposal (RFP) 283-99-9019 is scheduled for issuance on or about April 9, 1999 and responses are due by May 21, 1999. This solicitation may be obtained in either of two ways; by mail or by electronically downloading a file from the SAMHSA Web Site at http://www.samhsa.gov. Files will not be made available on the Web site until on or after the estimated issuance date. Once downloaded, you should determine if you have a continuing interest in the RFP. If so, you must either write the contract specialist identified above that you wish to have copies of amendments to the RFP (if any) sent to you by mail or check the SAMHSA Web Site regularly for any amendments to the RFP which will also be posted there and can be electronically downloaded. Note, however, that if you rely on the Web Site for obtaining amendments, we have no way to assure, and will therefore assume no responsibility for assuring, that you have downloaded these amendments. Requests for copies of the RFP to be mailed must be made in writing or by facsimile (301) 443-0019 and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis until the supply is exhausted.
