Rather, the purpose of this synopsis is to: (a) determine whether there are a sufficient number of responsible sources who can meet a forthcoming competitive United States Coast Guard (USCG) requirement for uniform fitting and alteration services for recruit and other military personnel at the USCG Training Center, Cape May, NJ; and (b) conduct market research to ascertain whether the services may be solicited pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.1 _Full and Open Competition._ The effort will require the contractor to provide fitting and alteration services for approximately 5,400 military personnel over forty-nine (49) weeks annually. In addition, the fitting and alteration services shall include uniform dry-cleaning and pressing.
