Creek Trail Construction, reconstructing six miles of Andrews Creek
Trail. This project is located on the Methow Valley Ranger District. To
reach it from Winthrop, go north on the Chewuch County road until it
turns into Forest Road 51. Follow this road to the end of pavement and
Andrews Creek Trailhead. The project starts at the trailhead and goes
to Peepsight Creek Trail, about 8 miles up the trail. There is no work
from about mile post 5 to 6.5. This project is mostly within the
Pasayten Wilderness and not motorized or mechanized equipment may be
used. Although this contract should be done in 200 days, and a
contractor could have it done this fall, it may take two field seasons.
Compeletion date is 9/2000. Estimated start work date is 7/1/99,
estimated dollar value is $100,000 -- $250,000. This solicitation is
