SOL WASC9-957 DUE 040999 POC Randall Brown (206) 526-6226/FAX (206) 526-6025 Request for quotation issued for two (2) ea. dual circuit stainless steel chillers for the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS). Chillers to be delivered to 10 Park Avenue, Bldg. B, Mukilteo, WA 98275. Seawater chiller is needed to cool seawater used to rear fish at the Mukilteo Field Facility. Chiller required to maintain temp of flow-through seawater at 10 degrees. C through the summer months. Seawater is 3% NaCl and flow rate is 100 GPM. Unit will consist of air cooled condensers which combined are rated at minimum 30 tons refrigeration and a heat exchanger or flooded chiller. Minimum specifications: 1) All equipment to be new only; 2) titanium tubes will be used in the flooded chiller. End plates will be coated 316L stainless steel; 3) pressure low through heat exchanger not to exceed 3 psi at 100gpm. Sea water inlet and outlet fittings will be 4" dia. horizontal mount flange fittings. Heat exchanger will have a drain for winterizing unit; 4) all fuses, breakers, starters, and switches to be enclosed in a single electrical panel with a single electrical hook-up. Compressor will be 230V 3-phase and will be supplied with unloaders; 5) controls will include a low pressure freeze up protection with and chiller freeze-up protection T-Stat; 6) unit will be designed for outdoor use and installation on a skid platform; 7) compressor unit must fit in an 8' x 15' area; 8) price will include cost of all piping and refrigerant; and 9) unit will be supplied as a complete package installed by 6/1/99.
