66 -- PULSED NUCLEAR MANGETIC RESONANCE INSTRUMENT SOL 53-M-APHIS-99 DUE 070299 POC Kathryn Linde 612-370-2494 The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Grain Inspection, Packers and Stockyards Administration (GIPSA) has a need for an official Pulsed Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (P-NMR) instrument for oil analysis. The manufacture of the Continuous Wave Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (CW-NMR) has been discontinued and all new instruments currently being marketed use a pulse waveform instead of a continuous waveform. All submitted instruments that meet or exceed the specifications shall be placed on a GIPSA approved list of P-NMR instruments for use in the official measurement of Sunflower seed oil content. One P-NMR instrument from this GIPSA approved list will be procured also. This effort is advertised under full and open competition under SIC 3826, Laboratory Analytical Instruments. The solicitation, 53-M-APHIS-99, will be released on or about April 16, 1999.
