combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items and services
prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as
supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This
announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being
requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Non-Personal
Service: The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools,
materials, transportation, supervision, and other items and services
necessary to remove existing horizontal blinds and install new vertical
blinds, as defined in this Statement of Work. The location is the north
end of the 4th floor Building 5681, AFMOA Section, Bolling AFB DC. The
following short work description shall serve as general information
only, and shall not limit the contractor_s responsibility or obligation
to conform to all state and local laws and in accordance with
manufacturer_s recommendations. The quantity is approximately 340
linear ft. There is 85 windows measuring 4 feetin width and 6 feet in
height. All measurements and quantities are estimated. The contractor
is responsible to measure and verify all quantities and measurements
for each room. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: The contractor shall remove
existing horizontal blinds and install new vertical blinds to include
all required hardware. The vertical blinds shall match the blinds in
the Generals office on the 4th floor. Manufacturer: Louverdrape Color:
Fresno Gray FR-1053 The performance period shall be 30 days after
award. Work hours shall be from 1500-2100 Monday-Friday unless
specified different at the site visit. The contractor shall be
responsible for moving and protecting any equipment in the work area
and replacing it in the same location when work is completed. Damages
resulting from the contractors operations shall be repaired or replaced
by the contractor at no additional expense to the government.
PRE-INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS: Before installation services are
started, the contractor shall inspect the work site and ascertain all
information necessary to deliver effective performance of the
service(s). The Contractor shall notify the Contracting Officer of any
conditions that prevent the suitable completion of these services. All
removed blinds shall be disposed of by the contractor at an off base
site, meeting all local, County, State and Federal Regulations.
STANDARD OFFICE FURNITURE MOVING: If it is necessary for the contractor
to move module furniture, the contractor shall be required to use
manufacture recommended methods as not to damage or void any
warranties. Site-visit is scheduled for 5 April 1999, at 9:00 a.m. in
Bldg 5681, 2nd floor lobby, Bolling AFB. Those interested in attending

phone number. This solicitation is 100% small business set-aside. The
SIC is 2591 and the small business size standard is 500 employees.
