Q -- MEDICAL SERVICES SOL RFP 618-125-99 DUE 043099 POC Mavis Nelson 612-725-2189 Under Statutory Authority 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) and 38 U.S.C. 8153, the Government anticipates entering into sole source procurement with St. Mary's Hospital of Superior (SMHS), Superior, WI for Radiology Services at Twin Ports Outpatient Clinic (TPOPC), Superior, WI for the period of 4/1/99 through 12/31/01. Radiology services include: Technician using TPOPC equipment and conducting all films; radiologist interpretation and administrative transcription of same; when necessary, SMHS providing equipment, technician, film, and transcription at their site (SMHS) and radiologist interpretation of same. The above authority is cited and justification is made based on the determination that the Government's minimum needs can best be satisfied by services available from one source (TPOPC leases clinic space from and is physically located within SMHS). The Government's obligation under this contract is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract purposes can be made. No legal liability on the part of the Government for any payment may arise until funds are made available to the Contracting Officer for this contract and until the Contractor receives notice of such availability, to be confirmed in writing by the Contracting Officer.
