The U. S. Army Communications Electronics Command (CECOM) anticipates award to Raytheon Systems Company, St. Petersburg, FL of a modification to Contract No. DAAB07-97-C-J437 for the inclusion of Medium Data Rate (MDR) capability into the Joint Tactical Terminal (JTT) Common Integrated Broadcast Service-Modules (CIBS-M)in compliance with MIL-STD-188-184 to ensure interoperability with the Airborne Integrated Terminal/Group (AIT/G) equipment. Award will be made per FAR 6.302-1(b)(1), "Only One Responsible Source". This is necessary since Level III drawings and complete Interface Control Documents (ICD's) suitable to sustain a competitive procurement are unavailable for the JTT since the JTT is still under development. Only Raytheon Systems Company can achieve the deployment requirements, operational readiness, and supportability of the JTT.
