R -- SURVEY OF LABELING OF RAW MEAT AND POULTRY AND SAFE HANDLING LABELING SOL FSIS-14-W-99 DUE 051199 POC Anita Voiselle The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has a requirement for a market survey of food retailers to provide estimates on the prevalence of stores providing quantitative nutrition labeling information for single-ingredient, raw(including frozen) meat and poultry products and to provide estimates on the prevalence of retail stores that are providing safe handling instructions for raw meat and poultry products (single and multi-ingredient) that are package at the retail level. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. Copies of the solicitation will be made available on the USDA, FSIS web site at the following address: www.fsis.usda.gov/om/rfp.htm. When copies are obtained from the web site, it will be the responsibility of the interested party to notify the Contracting Office in order to obtain amendments if and when they are issued.
