COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF MARCH 30,1999 PSA#2313A -- EXPLORERS WORKSHOP NASA's Office of Space Science (OSS) will
conduct a one-day workshop with the space science community to discuss
the status of, and issues pertaining to, the Explorer Program. The
workshop will be held Thursday, April 29, 1999, at the Inn & Conference
Center, University of Maryland, in College Park, MD. The workshop,
which is the second in an anticipated series of such forums initiated
in May 1997, is open to members of the space science community. The
focus of this year's workshop will be to obtain an assessment of the
current Explorer Program and NASA's response to the recommendations
made in the 1997 workshop. It is intended that this continuing dialog
with the space science community will lead to further improvements in
the execution and the ultimate scientific productivity of the Explorer
Program. Unfortunately, NASA will not be able to pay for travel to the
meeting. Additional information regarding this workshop, including the
registration form required for those who plan to attend, may be found
at the following URL:
