This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. SPO833-99-Q-0131 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This acquisition is unrestricted. Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code 2448. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-10.1. Contract Line Item Number -0001- 6,270 pallets 2. DESCRIPTION: Type 1- two way flush; Class 1, Assembled, Style A-Nonreversible, Size 3, size 48 X 48. Group III, high density woods (hardwoods) Grade A, untreated in accordance with Federal Specification NN-P-71C dated September 10, 1973. Contractors will be provided a copy ofthe Federal Specification NN-P-71C upon request. The contractor shall furnish a pre-production pallet for examination and testing in accordance with Section 4.1 of the specification within 15 days calendar day of award. The inspection will be performed at the contractor's plant. The contractor shall notify the government of its plant location and the date on which the pre-production pallet will be provided at least 5 calendar days in advance so that the Government can schedule the test. The Government will approve or disapprove the pre-production pallet within 5 calendar days after conducting the test. 3. Deliver pallets within 60 calendar days after award and FOB Destination as detailed herein: a) Quantity 1,600 pallets delivered to DNSC/MONH-NEW HAVEN DEPOT, Attn: Fred Brooks, Depot Mgr., 15411 Dawkins Road New Haven, IN 46774-9644; 2) Quantity 1,600 Pallets delivered to DNSC/MOWG- WARREN DEPOT, Attn: Jack Pittano, Depot Mgr., Pine Street Extension, Warren, OH 44482-9999, and c) Quantity, 3,070 pallets delivered to DNSC-MOST-STOCKTON DEPOT, P. O. Box 6950 Stockton CA 95206-6950. 3. This solicitation incorporates one or more clauses by reference, with the same force and effect as if they were given in full text. The quoter is cautioned that the listed provisions may include blocks that must be completed by the quoter and submitted with its quotation.
