This requirement is being procured on a sole source basis from the original equipment manufacturer, Williamson Metal Works, Madison, Indiana. The contractor will refurbish, to meet NAVSEASYSCOM drawings and specifications, 150 each shipping and storage containers for demolition line charges. Work shall include complete cleaning; repair of surface and structural damage; replacement of gaskets, seals and other missing or damaged components; repair and/or replacement of container lids; repair and/or replace and test electrical wiring and components; paint using Chemical Agent Resistant Coating (CARC) paint; and perform container unit leak tests. Container dimensions are approximately 85" x 54" x 22". Each container weighs approximately 600 pounds. The bottom of the container is manufactured from steel. The lid is manufactured from special mill run, non-standard size (3/4" x 83-1/4" x 53-3/4") plywood coated with fiberglass. This RFQ cannot be downloaded.
