Intramural Research (DIR), of the National Institute of Allergy and
Infectious Diseases (NIAID), National Institutes of Health (NIH), has
a requirement for Pathology Services for gross pathologic,
cytopathologic, histopathologic and ultrastructural pathologic effects
of HIV infection in patients and experimental material provided by
investigators. RFP-NIH-NIAID-DIR-00-27 will be available electronically
on or about April 15, 1999 and may be accessed through the NIAID
Contract Management Branch (CMB) Homepage, by the following electronic
address and instructions: The NIAID/CMB Homepage (via the World Wide
Web) is accessed by: http://ww.niaid.nih.gov/contract and then select
the "RFPs" link. Please note that the RFP for this acquisition has been
"streamlined" to include only the Statement of Work, deliverable and
reporting requirements, special requirements, mandatory qualifications
(if any), the Technical Evaluation Criteria, and the proposal
preparation instructions. All information required for the submission
of an offer will be contained in the electronic RFP package. This
acquisition will utilize the National Institute of Allergy and
Infectious Diseases' (NIAID) Contract Review ON-Line (CRON) system.
Offerors must submit their proposals ELECTRONICALLY. In addition to the
electronic submission, Offerors must submit one original unbound signed
HARDCOPY of their proposal. Following proposal submission and review,
offerors may be requested to provide additional documentation to the
Contracting Officer. Proposals in response to this RFP will be due on
or about July 2, 1999. Any responsible offeror may submit a proposal,
which will be considered by the Government. This advertisement does not
commit the Government to award a contract. It is anticipated that a
single fixed-price, requirements type contract will be awarded for a
maximum period of five (5) years beginning on or about 02/01/2000.
