This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation No. DTRS57-99-Q-80051 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This solicitation is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) on an unrestricted basis. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-10. The Volpe National Transportation Systems Center (Volpe Center) has a requirement to purchase a CD ROM Regulatory Database License, for E nvironmental Regulations and subscribe to service for workstation, internet and intranet environments at a specified unit price which will include the Volpe Center and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) establishments nationwide. The contractor must be able to provide monthly updates for the following publications: CFR, State Statutes, State environmental health and safety regulation including Puerto Rico and DC, EPA guidance Document, OSHA Supplemental Publications, NIOSH Publications and the Military Publication database which includes Air Force, standards, Navy regulations, Department of Defense, Corps of Engineers and Army Regulations. The contractor will also be required to submit a weekly newsletter covering the environmental and safety regulation changes in the Fede ral Register and in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. All services must be commercially available and ready for delivery in CD ROM, Internet and Intranet environments. Proposals shall include in a written quotation a lump sum price for the database listed above. Please include your company DUNS No. Period of performance will be one year from date of award.
