Center services for a secure juvenile facility in the District of
Arizona or District of New Mexico. The facility should be located
within an area that includes Phoenix to Tucson, Arizona and Las Cruces
to Albuquerque, New Mexico. The boundary should be limited to 75 miles
west of Interstate 10 in Tucson, Arizona to 75 miles west of Interstate
17 near Phoenix, Arizona. Additionally, the boundary should extend no
further than 75 miles east of Interstate 25 near Las Cruces and
Albuquerque, New Mexico. Interested concerns having the ability to
provide residential secure juvenile services for male and female
juvenile offenders are requested to give written notification
(including telephone number and a point of contact) to the Contracting
Officer listed in the notice. Services required include care, custody,
control, accountability, and treatment to include furnishing of
subsistence and medical services, except the expenses of hospital,
surgical, prescriptions, and dental treatment. The services describe
shall be in accordance with the Bureau of Prisons' Statement of Work.
The estimated total of inmate days is reflected as minimum/maximum for
the base period and with four option years, and are reflected as: (a)
Base Period -- 7,300/14,600 inmate days (b) Option Year one --
7,300/14,600 inmate days (c) Option Year two -- 7,300/14,600 inmate
days (d) Option Year three -- 7,300/14,600 inmate days (e) Option Year
four -- 7,300/14,600 inmate days The RFP issue date is o/a April 25,
1999, and the estimated closing date is June 24, 1999. The Bureau of
Prisons' will conduct a pre-proposal conferences on May 20, 1999, from
9:00am until 2:00pm at the Federal Correctional Institution's Staff
Training Center at 37900 North 45th Avenue, Department 1680, Phoenix,
Arizona 85207. Interested sources must register by submitting, in
writing, a notice of the organization's intention to attend and the
name(s) of the individual(s) who will be representing the potential
Offerors at the conference. The registration must be received by the
BOP no later than May 13, 1999, 3:00pm Eastern Standard Time. The
written notification shall be submitted via facsimile to (202)
307-2780, or mailed to the Contracting Officer at: Federal Bureau of
Prisons Procurement and Property Branch, Community Corrections
Contracts, 500 First Street, NW, Washington, DC 20534. The purpose of
the pre-proposal conference is for Government representatives to answer
potential Offerors questions regarding the technical aspects of the
solicitation, the facilities, and areas in which services will be
