532-1027 This is a Simplified Acquisition Procedure (SAP) not to exceed
$100,000.00, issued in accordance with the Small Acquisition Procedures
of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Part 13, which prescribes
policies and procedures for the acquisition of supplies and services.
This Request for Quotation (RFP) is for all labor, management,
supervision, tools, materials, travel, transportation, and equipment
necessary to provide mechanical duct cleaning for all systems
associated with the replaced air handing units (AHUs) at Naval Hospital
in Camp Pendleton per specifications section 15999 and NAVFAC Drawing
Nos. 8083621 to 8083637. Approximately 54,700 linear feet of ducting
requires cleaning. The replaced AHUs are AHU-2, 3, 5, 9, 14, 15, 19,
20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, and 26. The work includes mechanical cleaning
of all existing supply, return, and exhaust ductwork, reheat coils,
dampers, diffusers, grilles, and AHUs 23 and 25. This solicitation is
100% set-aside for small business. The Standard Industrial
Classification (SIC) Code for this acquisition is 7349. The small
business size standard is $12.0 M. NOTE: There will be an organized
site visit on 20 April 1999 beginning at 9:00. Directions to the site
visit are detailed in the website. In accordance with FAR 5.102 (a)(7)
availability of the solicitation will be limited to the electronic
medium; solicitation will be available for download free of charge via
the Internet World Wide Web at http://www.efdswest.navfac.navy.mil
under menu choice titled "Electronic Solicitations", "Advertised
Solicitations". Hard copies (paper sets) or CD-ROM of the solicitation
will NOT be provided by the Government. The official plan holder's
list will be maintained on and can be printed from the website. All
prospective offerors and plan rooms are encouraged to register as plan
holders on the website. Plan holders lists will not be faxed and will
only be available from the website. Registering offerors and plan
rooms must provide a complete name, address, area code, phone number,
offeror type (prime contractor, sub contractor, supplier, or plan
room), e-mail address and type of business (large, small, small
disadvantaged, woman owned, etc.). Notification of any amendments to
the solicitation will only be made on the website for any posted
changes. It is the sole responsibility of the offeror to continually
view the website for any amendments made to this solicitation. Offerors
will be able to download this solicitation from the website beginning
14 April 1999, with a Due Date for Receipt of Quotes of 13 May 1999.
NOTE: The apparent successful offeror must be registered in the
Department of Defense Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database.
